Welcome to The Embodied Artist Community

Where creativity meets embodiment — and expression becomes a way of being.

What is the Embodied Artist?

The Embodied Artist Community is a space for photographers who are craving more, more depth, more connection, more intention in their art and their lives. Through our workshops and gatherings, we guide you back to your creative self, helping you tap into your intuition, find your unique voice, and create from a place of presence and authenticity. Whether you're just starting out or years into your craft, you're invited to join us in this soulful space where growth, vulnerability, and artistry meet.

Who is the Embodied Artist?

The Embodied Artist is someone who creates from the inside out, who listens deeply, feels fully, and brings their whole self into their work. They value presence over perfection, connection over comparison, and truth over trends. Their art is a reflection of their inner world, their lived experience, and their unique way of seeing. The Embodied Artist is not defined by skill level, but by a commitment to showing up authentically, bravely, and with intention. If this speaks to something within you, you’re already on the path.

What do we offer?

Our workshops are more than just a space to learn—they’re a space to remember who you are as an artist. We offer thoughtfully curated experiences that blend hands-on photography education with soulful reflection and creative embodiment. Each gathering is designed to nurture both your technical growth and your inner voice, helping you create with confidence, clarity, and heart. From intimate in-home sessions to creative & inspiring outdoor shoots, group discussions, and guided prompts, we hold space for you to explore, expand, and reconnect with your art in a way that feels deeply personal and powerfully aligned.

I want in!

it’s not just photos.

when you believe something deeply, when you walk it and talk it, when it’s part of who you are and everything you breathe, it’s the most powerful expression of authenticity, capable of inspiring others and transforming both your life and the lives of those you touch.

The Embodied Artist — Spring Season

This spring, we’re opening the studio doors.

Not to hustle.

Not to overwhelm.

But to create space — for steadier work, clearer seeing, and creative lives that actually feel livable.

Over the last few years, we’ve both moved through seasons of building, burning out, pulling back, and rebuilding with more care. What we kept coming back to was this:

the work doesn’t need more noise — it needs more honesty.

So this spring, we’re offering three ways to work together inside The Embodied Artist. Each one meets you in a different place, but all of them are rooted in the same values: presence, sustainability, and making art that can hold a life.

Home Studio Hours begins in February — a weekly Zoom space, same day, same time, where we open our home studios and talk through the real mechanics of running a photography business. Open book. New topics each week. Sometimes guest voices. Always honest conversation.

Still to Street begins at the end of March — a slower, observational workshop focused on seeing, patience, and the quiet craft of image-making beyond performance or trends.

The Artist’s Table gathers in May — an intimate, in-person experience designed for deeper conversation, creative nourishment, and the kind of connection that only happens when we sit at the same table.

You don’t need to do all three.

You don’t need to do anything perfectly.

You’re invited to step into what fits this season of your life and work.

We’ll be sharing details over the coming weeks, opening a founding member space for Home Studio Hours first, and gently unfolding the rest as spring approaches.

If you’ve been craving steadier rhythms, clearer direction, and creative community that doesn’t ask you to perform — we’d love to have you.

This is a season in the studio.

Come in however you need.

The Artists Table

The Artist’s Table gathers in May

An intimate, in-person experience for photographers seeking deeper connection to their work, their creativity, and one another.

Rooted in slow living and intentional artistry, this gathering is designed for storytellers who crave more than content. It’s a space to step out of the noise, slow down, and return to creating with presence and care.

Held away from the city and close to the land, The Artist’s Table blends quiet mornings, shared meals, creative play, and unhurried conversation. This is not a traditional workshop or portfolio review, it’s a retreat-style experience focused on nourishment, reflection, and reconnecting with the why behind your work.

Created for the artists and the feelers, those longing to come home to their craft, and to themselves.

Nostalgic Summer

Step into the golden haze of summer and reconnect with the magic of childhood wonder. Our Nostalgic Summer Series is a playful, heart-led workshop designed to bring you back to the simple joys that shaped us. Popsicles on the porch, backyard adventures, sun-soaked play, and golden hour basketball in the neighbourhood park. We’ll wander, explore, and create in everyday spaces that hold extraordinary beauty, capturing the warmth and nostalgia of summer in all its forms. This workshop invites you to slow down, see through the eyes of your younger self, and photograph with presence, freedom, and feeling.

from Still to Street

From Still to Street is a dynamic, hands-on workshop designed to elevate your portraiture through an editorial lens. We begin in the studio, exploring light, styling, and intentional posing to create stunning, story-driven imagery.

From there, we take it to the streets, transitioning into a bold, urban environment where spontaneity meets structure. You’ll learn how to work with different portrait styles, adapt to shifting settings, and direct with confidence while staying rooted in your creative vision.

This workshop is all about blending stillness and movement, refinement and rawness, teaching you to create portraits that feel both elevated and deeply human.

In-home photography is more than just capturing images. It's about stepping into the heart of someone's life, it’s an art form. The honor of being invited into a person's private world, where their most cherished moments unfold, is something we never take for granted. Our homes are where we experience life’s most meaningful events—from the arrival of a newborn to the loss of a tooth, the first birthday candle to the quiet moments shared at the dinner table. It’s where families grow, memories are made, and love is nurtured. At its core, a home represents safety, belonging, and connection.

The 2nd time running workshop, “Mastering the art of the lifestyle in home session”, is for those who feel their creative spark has dimmed or those ready to elevate their in-home photography to new heights.

Together, we’ll explore how to find and express your distinct creative voice, enabling you to infuse your personal story into every frame. You’ll learn how to create work that speaks to both your heart and your clients’, crafting images that are not just seen, but felt.
